Intro. to Bootstrap Grid System
An important concept that to understand about Bootstrap is it’s Grid System. The Grid system is used to create page layouts by using a series of rows and columns. It consists of 12 flexible columns you can use to create unlimited variations of page layouts. The sample below is a 3 column layout where the sum of columns is equal to 12. The MENU column is set to 2, the CONTENT column is set to 8 and the ASIDE column is set to 2; all collectively completing the 12 columns. Bootstrap includes several grid classes for creating layouts which accounts for many devices such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops and more. By stretching and collapsing the HTML area in the example you are able to see how Bootstrap mages the layout for each of the columns.
